A 12 km walk through nature and history, with an elevation gain of 900 metres, to be completed within a maximum time of 7 hours. The route will allow you to tread the very ground where the battle took place that enabled the gladiator Spartacus, with only a handful of men, to defeat a well-trained and fully armed Roman legion.

This is, however, a march not to be underestimated: it should be approached at a steady pace, savouring its short yet demanding climbs and its relaxing, captivating descents, all while enjoying sweeping views of Vesuvius the perfect balance for those who love to contemplate nature in serenity and test their own determination.

The course will be clearly marked with tape and will follow the same route as the 12 km race.

• Departure on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at 9:00 a.m. from Palazzo Mediceo in Ottaviano (NA).
• Participants will have access to the same refreshment stations and support services provided for the races.
• The pace is free: each walker may follow the route at the speed most comfortable to them. Running is strictly prohibited.
